Noeldner, Jean (Marriage - 16 June 1962)

Nuptial vows were repeated Satruday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal uniting Miss Jean Noeldner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Noeldner, Rt. 2, Loyal, and Kenneth Harry Voss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Voss, also of Rt. 2, Loyal.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Virgil A. Ganz before an altar decked with vases of pink and white peonies.  White satin bows marked the pews.

Approaching the altar on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage, the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of embroidered nylon organza styled with a very full bouffant skirt formed with four tiers of material. The Basque bodice was fashioned with a scalloped V-neckline enhance with seed pearls on nylon appliqués. Long tapered sleeves came to a point at the wrists. A fingertip veil of imported silk illusion was attached to a headpiece of aurora borealis crystals and seed pearls.  A floral bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis made up the bridal bouquet. Streamers fell from the bouquet, to which tiny rosebuds were attached.

Miss Marilyn Noeldner, Loyal, was maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Wayne Voss of Greenwood and Mrs. Richard Schlinsog of Marshfield.  The attendants wore blue nylon dresses with matching headpieces and nosegay veils.

The Misses Susanne and Cynthia Noeldner, little sisters of the bride, dressed in white floor length dresses were flower girls.

The groom was attended by his brother, Wayne Voss, as best man.  His groomsmen were Lee Cook and Richard Schlinsog, both of Marshfield.  Donald Noeldner, Loyal, and Thomas Annen, Marshfield were ushers.

Nuptial music "O Lord Most Holy," "Father Hear us now" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Kristine, Beatrice and Helen Noeldner, cousins of the bride and La Vern Dahlby.  Carol Noeldner, also a cousin, accompanied them at the organ.

Approximately 300 guests witnessed the ceremony and attended the reception held at the home of the bride’s parents and attended the wedding dinner, held later in the church parlors.

On their return from a wedding trip to Canada and Niagara Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Voss will reside on Rt. 2, Loyal, where the groom is engaged in farming with his father.  He (she) is a graduate of the Loyal High school and has been employed as a secretary in Marshfield.

The bride’s wedding dress was designed and made by Mrs. Alice Holt of Marshfield, a close friend.

Guests attending the wedding were from Madison, Milwaukee, Nekoosa, Neillsville, Loyal, Greenwood, Spencer, Medford, Waukesha, Manitowoc, Helenville, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, Theresa, Marshfield, New London, Edgar and Chili, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Santa Monica, Cal.
