Thur, Judith Ann (Marriage - 23 June 1962)
Judith Ann Thur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thur of Fairchild, and David John Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Beck of Cudahy, were married June 23, at 2 p.m. in the home yard of her parents. The Rev. Mr. Sasman, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church of Alma Center, officiated at a double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Thomas Thur, brother of the bride was best man; Jane Thur, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Gordon Beyer, Neillsville, and Dale Thur, Fairchild, were ushers. Shirley Thur, sister of the bride, was flower girl. Music was furnished by LaVern Jensen, an Eau Claire organist.
The bride was attired in a wedding gown of silk organza with tucked pleated front, featuring long sleeves of Alencon re-embroidered lace and a scalloped Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. Her flowers were red sweetheart roses accented with white stephanotis. She also wore a fingertip veil.
After a honeymoon in Wisconsin and Michigan the newly weds will be at home at 4619 N. 27th Street, Milwaukee, after July 2. The bride has been employed in Blue Cross Insurance Co. of Milwaukee. The groom is manager of a super market. Relatives and other friends, attended from Neillsville, Milwaukee, Union Grove, Wausau and Eau Claire.
The bride’s mother is the former Velda Wegner, daughter of Ben Wegner of Neillsville.
