Jenswold, Pvt. George #2 (1910? - 20 SEP 1944)

Special memorial services for Pvt. George Jenswold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jenswold, will be held Sunday morning at 9:45, at the Methodist Church.  This service will replace the regular morning worship service.  The Rev. Robert W. Sachtjen will officiate.  Pvt. Jenswold was killed in action in France Sept. 20, 1944, according to a message received by his parents, but details have not been received.  The place of action or place of burial have not been announced, but a letter received from the war department stated that this information would come very soon.  Pvt. Jenswold has been commended by his officers as an exemplary soldier.  One of his brothers and a number of other relatives are expected to be here to attend the service Sunday.
