Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Guay and son of Fairchild were visitors Sunday with the Henry Boullion family.

 

Duane Olson has returned home after an operation for appendicitis at the Krohn Hospital.  Duane spent only four days in the hospital.  He is convalescing rapidly.

 

A report has come to us that one of the sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzmaurice has suffered a leg wound from shrapnel in the European arena.

 

Barton Winscher, who is on the engineers’ staff in naval Pacific freight service, came home from San Francisco on a short furlough while his ship was in port.  His mother and Mrs. J.H. Bryner accompanied him as far as Milwaukee on his return trip, and all spent a few days with relatives there.

 

Lt. C.A. Dauffenbach has returned to Camp Beale, Calif., after spending a sixteen day vacation with his wife and parents, here and in Fairchild.

 

Mrs. W.E. Waters went to Minneapolis last Sunday evening to assist at the home of Elgin G. Stallard for a few weeks.  Mrs. Stallard underwent a major operation at a Minneapolis hospital the fore part of the week, and Mrs. Waters expects to remain for a while after her return from the hospital.

 

W.C. Flood has about recovered from his recent hold up experience.  Last Sunday he and his son Angus tried a fox hunt, and were successful in getting one.

 

Mrs. Henry Boullion and daughter, Mrs. C.A. Dauffenbach visited at Fairchild last Thursday.
