Loyal Events (26 July 1962)

 

Loyal band practice began Friday evening, July 20, at the gym.  Concerts will soon be held at Loyal on Friday nights.

 

Rueben Ehlert of Loyal was among those who chartered a bus for Minneapolis, where they were inducted into the armed forces.

 

Thursday, July 19, members of the Prosperity Pea Pickers met at the Loyal Municipal building.  Fire Chief Mike Weyhmiller demonstrated the use of the resuscitator.

 

The Clark County Pleasure Riders met at the Norbert Friske home Sunday at 10 a.m. and held a trail ride to Greenwood Park, where they had a picnic dinner.

 

Pvt. Roger J. Ellison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ellison, has received his wings.  He received final training at Jump school at Fort Benning, Ga.

 

The Rev. and Mrs. Alvin Crandall and family left Friday to attend the annual Wisconsin conference of the Free Methodist Church of Oregon. The Rev. Leo J. Chapman accompanied them as a delegate from here.
