Heathville (17 June 1910)

Mr. and Mrs. Latamore made a flying switch on Sunday of the week.  While driving along past Mrs. Schmidtke’s a calf which was laying close to the road scared the horse in such a manner that they were thrown out of the buggy. The horse trying to make its escape dragged Mrs. Latamore for bout 5 rods. They both were injured more or less about their body and limbs, but nothing very serious.

We are inclined to rejoice the trip Clark Waterman made to the Heathville Hall ground last Sunday.  It was rather slow, but Wellie Davis says I don’t give a………!

On Monday of this week a bunch of happy Mongolians went to Pittsville to fish.  Their names are: Aug. Prust, Jake Henning, Hank Gerrits, Fred Dankemyer and A. Leye.

The Heathville base ball team will play ball at Spencer next Sunday.  A good game is expected.

Another dance at Knoll’s granary on Saturday of this week.  Come, one and all. A good time guaranteed or your money back.

A. Heath and wife left Monday morning for a weeks visit with their daughter near Abbotsford.

Wm. Maluge of Marshfield visited his father-in-law Geo. Ives early this week.

J. Tremelling is now on the telephone line since last week.

There will be a picnic at the Dankemyer School next Friday given by Pearl Beeckler and the pupils.
