Foemmel’s Corners (9 September 1910)

 

Little Wilfred Cattanah was very sick last week with indigestion.

 

Lizzie Krause spent several days last week with friends near Spokeville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Davis and daughters, Frances and Stella took supper with Truman Davis’ last Thursday night.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gardner are the proud parents of a big boy born August 25th.  This makes 3 boys.

 

School began Monday with Miss Ora Davis as teacher.

 

Victor Krejci hung some new doors for the school house one day last week.

 

Mrs. Elwin Root was somewhat under the weather several days this week.

 

Rella Osgood still continues to be very ill.

 

Mrs. Sam Martin and children visited their cousin Effie Davis one day last week.

 

Mrs. Lapham and daughter are spending the week at the John Pietenpol home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Truman Davis drove over to see pa Breese who has been very sick with Cholera Morbus, but at present is better.

 

Mrs. Louise Hayden and daughter left Tuesday for Penna where they intend to make their future home.

 

Mr. Ed Ackerman and Miss Lillie went to Plainfield Tuesday to attend the funeral of Ed’s brother.

 

The Ladies Aid of the M. E. Church met Wednesday with Mrs. Walter Rowe.


The gentlemen’s aid (shall I call it that) met at the home of Mike Dorst and aided him in getting things ready for his new barn.
