York Center (16 September 1910)

 

John Davis took a trip to Fond du Lac Wednesday on business.

 

R. Free was a business caller at Loyal this week.

 

Heibel & Gullick have ordered a 15 horse power boiler for their factory at Christie and as son as it arrives they will be ready to manufacture cheese and butter there.

 

Roy Sargent has arrived here to take sister, Lincoln and children to California.

 

Abe Vandeberg and family visited with Walter Lawrence and family Sunday.

 

Harry Bowman transacted business at Neillsville this week.

 

Ted O’Brien’s little boy was very ill Monday. Dr. Ross of Granton was called and the little fellow is improving nicely.

 

Farmers are nearly all through cutting corn here now and will have more than their silos will hold.

 

Fan Levingston has now completed the basement for his house and will commence building at once which will be one of the finest on Grand Ave.

 

Sid Free spent Wednesday at John Dahl’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beal are visiting his sister at Reedsburg this week.

 

Mrs. Judd and daughter Nora called on Mrs. Wm. Benedict Monday.

 

The penny sociable which was held in the M. W. A. Hall Tuesday evening was well attended and all had a good time.

 

A two room log house to rent; Call on Joe McMann or Ben Turner, who have this property for rent. Also have a cow and chicken and wagon for sale.
