Griffith, Florence (17 Jun 1914)

Yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock the marriage of Miss Florence Griffith and Lloyd Watters was solemnized at the home of the bride on West 7th Street.  The bride and groom were attended by Miss Edna Heilman of Oshkosh and Wm. Watters of Davenport, Iowa, and Miss Laura Griffith and Verg Watters.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. Nogle in the presence of a number of relatives and friends of the contracting parties.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Griffith and a most estimable young lady.  For several months she has been employed at the Woelffer Drug Store as a saleslady.  Mr. Watters is a well known young man of this neighborhood, living with his mother on their farm just north of town.  He is a graduate of the high school and is a very capable and industrious young man.  The young couple will go to housekeeping at once on the Watters’ farm.
