Chili (16 December 1910)

 

The Palmer Minstrel troop showed to a large and appreciative crowd Tuesday and Wednesday night. They had a program lasting two hours.  If the jokes were not all strictly new they were given in a good way.

 

Wm. Bartz and son were seen on our streets Wednesday.

 

Jack Malamphy came back to Chili and took charge of the section here.  He will soon go to housekeeping in the rooms of the second story of the Tom Gibson house.

 

See the spring cutters that Degener sells, they are good ones.

 

The store clerks are kept quite busy on account of the approaching Christmas day.

 

Harry Eide is getting in more hay now which he can sell to his patrons quite reasonable.

 

John Schafer will soon move onto the Geo. Ure farm and R. Ebert the blacksmith will move into the house vacated by John.

 

Mrs. Schwarz was in Chili between trains Wednesday.

 

Herman Koser transacted business at Granton Wednesday.

 

The Chili Star Band will give a basket sociable and dance on Saturday evening, December 31.
