York Center (23 December 1910)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Davis of Neillsville spent a few days with their daughter Mrs. J. Mortimer.

 

Geo. Dahl took in the sights at the county seat this week.

 

Walter Rowe is kept quite busy at present hauling sawdust for Chas. Northup.

 

In the previous issue we mentioned that Keif Parrett made an effort to stay at home for a few Sundays, but we will have to take it all back, as they say he still makes his usual call.

 

Morris and Newt Turner are busy cutting corn stalks this week.

 

Ed Northup and Matt Randorf were Neillsville callers Monday.

 

John Vandeberg returned this week from Fond du Lac where he has been visiting friends.

 

Dan Timerson purchased a gasoline engine from R. Free and is quite busy at present sawing wood.

 

Art Judd who has been under the doctor’s care for some time is reported a little better.

 

Rella Randorf returned Saturday from St. Paul for a two weeks vacation.

 

Our cream man was delayed a few days last week on account of putting in a new boiler.

 

A large number of farmers delivered stock at Loyal Monday.

 

Wm. Rogers and wife made a business trip to Neillsville Saturday.

 

Fay Livingston called on Mr. Adams and family last Tuesday.

 

If you want good square meals call on Vernon Rowe.  He says that he is chief cook and bottle washer at present.
