Hallock, Norman (? - 17 December 1910)

Norman Hallock another old Clark County settler has passed to his reward, the angel of death claiming him at his late home in Loyal on Saturday, December 17th.  The remains accompanied by his wife, his sons Benjamin and Arthur, his daughters, Mrs. Nellie Sheppler and Mrs. Mabel Mundt and Mrs. Pearl Thornton, and many Loyal friends were brought here Wednesday and funeral services at the Adventist Church early that afternoon were interred in the Windfall Cemetery beside those of their children and of his parents gone before.

Mr. Hallock was 84 years old and was one of the oldest settlers in this part of the country, coming here from Canada and settling on a farm 2 miles north of here more than 50 years ago, where he had resided with his family continuously until two years ago when he sold the farm and moved to Loyal.  Deceased is survived by his wife, two sons and five daughters, all of whom were here in attendance at the funeral with the exception of Mrs. West and Mrs. Ferris, who were unable to get here.
