Miss Ella Lautenbach visited her sister Mrs. H. Marg last Sat.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Beaver of Granton were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Feldmaier Sunday.

 

W.M. O’Brien, railroad carpenter, was looking over the stock yards her Sat., with a view to repairing it as soon as the snow is gone.

 

P.C. Hart, Supt. of the C.M. & St. P. Railway, and W.B. Heinrich, trainmaster, both of Wausau, whiled away a few hours between trains here last week.

 

Miss Mable Erickson of Elroy was visiting at the home of Mrs. Geo. Brooks.  She took the train Tuesday for Kipps Spur where she will visit with Mr. White’s family.

 

Miss Elsie Brooks and Clark drove to Neillsville Tuesday.

 

John Schafer received a message with the sad intelligence that his mother had passed away.  He left immediately for Chilton.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoover of Sidney came over to take in the mask ball.  Joe did the calling.

 

Raymond Brooks came home to spend Sunday.

 

Mable Brooks came home Friday, accompanied by Mrs. Varnie of Columbia, and returned Sunday.

 

Geo. Brooks was a business caller at Neillsville Tuesday.

 

Fred Grassman came home last week from Laona to see his family, returning this week Wednesday.

 

A strange affair has existed over a cow in this town between Max Opelt and Fred Sultrecht of the town of Sherwood.  Max claimed the cow under due process of law and Sultrecht also claimed her at the same time.  Martin Breseman bought the cow of Max and seemed to be the only man that owned the cow.

 

Max Opelt transacted business at the county seat Monday.

 

Miss Libbie Altenburg went to Kips Spur to see her mother, Monday.

 

The Beavers held a meeting last week Thursday.  Ed Riedel was made a member of the order.

 

Geo. ure transacted business at Marshfield the first of the week.

 

Alfred Brooks and wife of Cedarhurst spent Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Brooks’.

 

Wm. Wagner shipped a car of hay to Chicago last week.

 

Mrs. Henry Marg went to Marshfield last week to have another operation for a cancerous growth on her leg.

 

Ernest Hankey and Walter Riedel returned home from Virginia, Minn., where they have been working in a logging camp.  They came in time to take in the mask ball.
