Geo. Garbush, thinking it too much work for one alone to attend housekeeping and saw work, has hired Willie Worchel to help him.

Mrs. Herman Scheelar of Abbotsford is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kelpin.

Bert Ayers has returned home from camp.

The general agent of the National Separator Co. was here last week and brought Wm. Kelpin a new separator in place of the one sold to him by H. Gluch a few months ago.

John Krause of the town of Lynn came out to North Star corner and visited at F.D. Riedel’s Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Crandall of Neillsville, and Esther Paynter spent Sunday at C. Paynter’s.

Fred Schoengarth Jr. is hauling wood to Neillsville.

Herman Scharf and Miss Martha Ratsch visited at Aug. Riedel’s Sunday.

Wm. Scharf and wife of Lynn called at his father’s Sunday.

We are glad to learn that our Granton friends who went to Panama looking for a job have safely returned.  Didn’t like to drink water there, eh?
