This year it seems the gentler sex has a previlege or can take the previlege to pop the question.  There might be some hope now for a few of the bashful and retiring men of all ages.  There are a few around here that may be taken up during this year.

Hay is being shipped out of here steadily this season.  This is rather encouraging, only the farmers should not sell too close, in case a long lasting winter would consume the stock of hay and fodder quicker than the grass will grow in spring.

With the cold weather the thermometers are being looked after more than before and a great variety of temperature was noticed on Tuesday.  It was from 22 to 40 degrees below zero according to the location.  It was cold and is yet at present writing with prospects of another cold night.

Spring cutters and feed cutters at Degener’s.  The best on the market.

The dance at the M. W. A. hall Monday night drew quite a crowd.  The music was furnished by the Edgar orchestra, about equal to the home orchestra.
