Mr. and Mrs. A. Carpenter visited their daughter near Marshfield several days this week.

 

Mr. Earl Brooks close a very successful term of school.

 

Charlie, Byrl, and Winnie Kidd visited Sunday at Webb Winn’s, but on account of the storm stayed until Monday morning.

 

Mr. Calvin Carter, who has been in Oregon for the past years, was here a few days this week visiting his son Marion and numerous other friends.  Mr. Carter likes the west and expects to return about April 7th.

 

The Alpha beta Gamma Society met as usual Friday evening and had a good program rendered.

 

There are a number of families moving this week.  Adam Allbaugh has rented a farm of 300 acres at Spokeville and is moving thereon.  Delbert Satimore, our blacksmith, will live in Mr. Allbaugh’s house, and Mrs. Wieley will move into the house vacated by Mr. Satimore.

 

A large number of ladies gather at the home of Mrs. Williams Sat. as a surprise in honor of her birthday, leaving her a very nice quilt as a remembrance of the occasion.

 

Mrs. Geo. R. Brooks visited with Mrs. Andrew Heath Saturday.  This came up after our pedagogue.

 

Everybody is invited to attend the literary meeting Friday evening at the Garbush schoolhouse.
