Henry Schuette, 93, died in the Clark County Hospital, Owen, about 9:45 p.m. Monday. The cause of death was the complications of old age.

 

Henry Schuette was born in Manitowoc County, Oct. 20, 1864. He was married to Anna Regling, March 21, 1889. He farmed in Manitowoc County until Feb. 1910 when the family came to a farm in the town of Beaver where they lived until 1936. He has lived at Owen for the past 21 years.

 

He was a charter member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in S. Green Grove. His wife died in 1943. He was also preceded in death by 3 sons, 1 daughter, 1 sister, and 5 brothers. Surviving are 4 sons, Walter of Neenah, Hugo of Unity, Art of Loyal, and Edwin of Kaukauna, 26 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, S. Green Grove Friday at 2 p.m. and burial will be in St. Luke’s Lutheran Cemetery, town of Beaver. The Rev. Martin Krause will officiate at the service.

 

Beginning Wednesday evening the body will in state at the Myre Funeral Home.
