Mrs. Ed Voight was hostess to the Sew & So Homemakers at her home Wednesday afternoon with 14 members present and two visitors Mrs. Ernie Thur and Mrs. Gene Haines.

 

President Mrs. Orville Luchterhand opened the meeting with the creed and pledge to the flag. Mrs. Russell Vandeberg acted as secretary in the absence of Mrs. Milton Schoenfeldt. Roll call was responded to with each telling "How to entertain children when it rains.

 

Mrs. Ray Hetzel reported on the Spring Council meeting. We welcome another new member into our club, Mrs. Glen Lavey. Secret Pal gifts appeared for Mrs. Ray Hetzel and Mrs. Herb Free. Mrs. Tony Scheckleman received the hostess gift.

 

We will meet with Mrs. Louie Walter for our May meeting. The project "Fruit Desserts" was presented by Mrs. Ed Voight and Mrs. Rollie Benedict. They demonstrated making pie crusts of lard, shortening, and oil. After closing with the "Prayer Creed" a lunch was served by the hostess.
