Dankemyer, Elsie (22 March 1888 - 28 March 1963)

 

Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer, 74, Chili, Rt. 1, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, of a heart ailment.  Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield.  Burial will be at the Yolo Cemetery in the Town of Fremont, Rev. Harold Oelschlager officiated.

 

The body will lie in state at the Hanson Funeral Home beginning Wednesday evening to 11 a.m. Friday, then to the church.

 

Mrs. Dankemyer, the former Elsie Krause was born March 22, 1888, at Granton (to Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Krause).  She married Freeman Dankemyer, February 16, 1911, at Granton.

 

She was educated in the Granton schools and taught school for five years in Clark County. She came to Chili after her marriage and lived there since.

 

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and the Homemakers Club.

 

Surviving are her husband; a son, Gerald of Neillsville; three daughters, Miss Natalie Dankemyer of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Chester (Dorothy) Seif of Augusta and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Berg of Amarillo, Tex.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. W. C. (Clara) Egbert of Daytona Beach, Fla.
