The Dorchester High School classes of 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963 held their 50th (plus or minus) class reunion in Holcombe on Wednesday and Thursday, august 10th and 11th

Wednesday started with a gold scramble at Twin Oaks Golf Course with a 9 a.m. tee time. Guests dressed in their colors (red and white).

At 1 p.m. everyone met at Paradise Shores to board the pontoons for a lake tour of beautiful Lake Holcombe. Pontoons were furnished and driven by Don Meyer, Joe Herman, Jerry Gebert and Wayne Underwood. About mid-afternoon, the pontoons anchored at Joe and Carole Herman’s Home on the lake for margaritas.

Later that day, guests gathered at 5:30 p.m. at Paradise Shores for an outdoor patio cocktail party. It was suggested that everyone dress in ’50-60s attire to celebrate the 50th reunion. Dinner was served at 7 p.m. Marilyn Monroe (a/k/a: Carol Herman) sang "Happy Birthday" to "Bobby" Neidhold. Butch Fenske acted as the master or ceremonies. Guests were Ruby Pinter and Marge Gorke (former teachers). Awards were presented for the gold tournament and door prizes were also given to attending classmates.

After dinner, guests were entertained by Rod Hawks and his music.

The next day at 2 p.m., everyone was invited to Judy Meyer’s home on the lake. Guests enjoyed her ‘50s memorabilia room and picnic lunch later in the day. Ann Bednarek Murphy performed her yoga routine.
