Christman, Minnie (20 April 1872 - 16 March 1963)

 

Funeral services for Minnie Christman, 90, of Neillsville, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. W.C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.  She died March 16.

 

The former Minnie Bolton, daughter of the late Albert and Eliza Bolton, was born April 20, 1872, in Richland County. She received her education there and on November 1, 1890, she was married to the late Charles Henry Christman at Reedstown.

 

They lived there for eight years before coming to Clark County 65 years ago.  For the last 14 years Mrs. Christman had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Embke, in Neillsville.  She was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Women’s Relief Corps.

 

Mrs. Christman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Belva) Wasson of Eagle; and Mrs. Henry (Nora) Embke of Neillsville and by two sons, Elmer of Owen and Clair of Neillsville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Bergemann Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Christman, 90, of Neillsville were held March 19, from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. W.C. Koehler of the United Church officiated, and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

 

Pallbearers were: Charles Christman, Paul Francel, Edward Gehring, Ernest Wasson, John Whitfield and Charles Meier.

 

"Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Asleep in Jesus" was sung by Mrs. Robert D. Peters, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Out of town people attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Christman, Martha Christman, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Wasson of Eagle; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gehring and Mrs. Kenneth Peters of Black River Falls; Jack Whitfield, Readstown, Mr. and Mrs. Wasson, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Francel of Sturtevant; Charles Christman, Elkhorn; Donald Christman of Sharon, Pa.; and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zielinski, Owen.
