Joe Berd sawed wood for cheesemaker Gerlach last Saturday.

 

Did you ever see a white cow give black milk?

 

Chas Schuster is again working for Walter Moldenhauer. As soon as Walter is going up in his airship Charley is going along to see how chances are with the Angels.

 

Miss Fronie Schuster is assisting Mrs. Fred Schlinsog in her household duties since last Monday.

 

Ernest Schmidtke who was operated upon in the Marshfield hospital for throat trouble is home and entirely out of danger.

 

Wm. Wagner visited at Fred Dankemyer’s Monday.

 

Sherman Davis is recovering from his recent illness.  One doctor told him he had ingrown toe nail, while another said he had heart trouble.

 

Gordon Davis, the maple sugar man made 35 gallons of maple syrup, 2 barrels of vinegar and 50 pounds of maple sugar.

 

School closed in district No. 1 for a two weeks vacation.

 

John Madler transacted business in Chili last week.

 

John Duffy sold his farm to Math Jordan. Consideration $2,250
