Chili (28 April 1910)

It is a great time for seeding this spring. The grain can be put into the ground certainly in a good shape. Now a good warm rain, and vegetation will have a chance to start up.

The Business Men’s Association of Chili went to work and converted the ground along the north side of the railroad track into a little park, providing the trees which are planted will grow.

Mrs. O. F. Walters came Wednesday afternoon to visit with Degener’s for a few days.

Louis Reichert was a Granton business caller Wednesday between trains.

The basket sociable given Saturday night by the Royal Neighbors drew a fair crowd.

Otto Sampe has Carl Kretschmer at work building a cellar.  His father-in-law Mr. Behringer is moving the feed mill which will be converted into a house. There will be an addition built to that part; when finished it will make a nice home for Mr. Sampe.

Mr. A. W. Wendorf, our accommodating station agent has his house raised and a cellar and cistern built.  Ike Rogers has the contract for the whole of it.  The work will be done in a few days.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fraser returned from an extended visit with relatives and friends around the Neenah country.

H. H. Henning returned from his western trip Monday morning.
