A boy six years old of Peter Roder in the town of Lincoln, Wood Co., died suddenly Sunday night.  His father left him quite well Sunday morning, when he left for the woods near Rib Lake to make ties.  He was called home by phone.

In honor of the inauguration day the flags were raised on the schoolhouse and on the flag pole.  A little parade of school children with a number of citizens marched through the streets and Mr. Hungerford addressed the community on the issues of the day.

This week Thursday the school children will give an entertainment in the schoolhouse.  The ladies are request to bring along a lunch which will be sold at a limited price.

The G. Bertschlinger farm will be sold in the near future.  Leonard Harriman and Dr. Engsberg are the buyers.

Mrs. Albert Degener was to Neillsville between trains Tuesday.

Mr. O.F. Walter and his sister, who has been visiting him for some time, left Saturday for West Bend to attend the funeral of their brother-in-law Harz at Filmore.  Mr. Walter had been down there this winter.

The concert given Saturday by the Granton brass band drew quite a crowd in spite of the cold weather.  It seemed to give general satisfaction.  The dance after the concert lasted until 3 a.m.

Jim Tilton moved his household goods to Chippewa Falls this week.

Herman Roehl moved onto the Koser farm last week.  He hauled his stock over Monday.

Mr. Grantworth, our blacksmith, is expected back from Dakota this week.  His mother is well, but his boy was quite sick that held him back.
