Chili News:

A beautiful day it was Tuesday when Miss Katy Martens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Martens, hotel and saloon keeper of this village, was joined in wedlock to Mr. John Bladl a prosperous business man of our sister village, Granton. Both parties are well-known and respected in our neighborhood and need no further recommendation.  A number of the near relatives on both sides were at the wedding, also some of the towns people, were present.  The bride was beautifully dressed in blue silk, while the groom wore the regulation black.  The marriage ceremony took place in the Catholic Church in the morning.  Wednesday morning the happy couple in company with the groom’s father took the train for La Crosse where they will visit for a few days.  Our best wishes for their happiness are with them.
