Kurth (15 June 1911)

Get out on Saturday and vote FOR a Union High School.  A good high school would mean an improvement to Granton and to the whole town as well.  Don’t be so afraid of 30 cents more taxes, you’ll never notice the difference in your purse.  And you won‘t be mourned for any less if you do die that much poorer.

A large number of friends and relatives helped Geo. Wilding celebrate his birthday Monday evening.

Fred Kier spent the past week at Granton looking after the harness shop during John Bladl’s absence on his wedding trip.

Henry Garbisch, Robert Garbisch, Dan Gluch Sr. and Dan Gluch Jr. have been entertaining the masons laying foundation for silo.

Dan Gluch Sr. is still very ill. Dr. Rath is in attendance.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Ayers drove to Granton Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dudei were Granton visitors Tuesday.

A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Scheller last week.
