Chili (15 June 1911)

After the rain and storm the sun will shine. It is always the case!

Hank, we are all in the same boat. There is nothing that gives anybody any privilege.

Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Walter came over in their new Ford last week, made a pleasant call and carried the biggest part of our family back with them on their return trip.

Before these items will appear in print, John Hefty our market man and Miss Anna Faber will have been united in wedlock. Both young people are well and favorably known and have a host of friends who wish them the best of luck in their new life. They will commence housekeeping immediately in the rooms of the Galloway Hotel which they have rented.

Don’t forget the 4th of July celebration at Chili. it will be of interest to young and old from morning till night. There will be band music all day and a Dance at Night.

The Children’s Day of the Fremont Lutheran Church was quite a success in spite of the rain in the afternoon.  A large crowd attended. The program given by the children was quite good and appreciated. A feature of the afternoon was the number of automobiles that were there.  The number of these is almost 3-fold of other years.
