Those who spent the weekend at the Alfred Brenner home were Mr. and Mrs. Ingvald Tollfson from Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Brenner and family of Elk Mound, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brenner and girls, Boyd.

 

Sunday afternoon open house was held at the Ruby School in honor of the fortieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brenner.  Reception was from 1:00 to 4:00.  They received some lovely gifts and a purse of money.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dombrowski and family of Gilman, and Mrs. Frank Swienton of Thorp, were callers at the Herman Raether home Sunday evening.

 

Alfred Brenner, Leonard Andrews and Dewey Andrews Jr. helped Edgar Adnrews put roof board on his house.

 

Dewey Andrews Jr. is spending some time help his uncle Edgar Andrews with building on the house.

 

Butler and East Side Schools will open Monday, Aug. 31st.  Mrs. Catherine le Gault will teach at Butler and Mrs. Irene Englebretson at East Side.

 

Mrs. Chester Daines returned home on Thursday from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Mrs. Chester Danielewicz and Linda visited the Arthur Morrison home on Friday.  They also called on Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Blum at the David Kile home.

 

Mrs. Pat Morrison spent Tuesday and Wednesday of last week in Milwaukee.

 

Mrs. Davis Kile and son visited relatives in Milwaukee recently.

 

Those who helped Mrs. Sarah Morrison celebrate her birthday Aug. 19th were: Mrs. Alvin Reineke and Emil, Mrs. Lauren Books and Steven, Mrs. Edmond Morrison and children, all of Eau Claire, Mrs. Wallie Blum of Wenatchee, Wash., Mrs. John Kile, Mrs. Hugo Kuehl, Mrs. Jack Conkline and children, Mrs. Georgia Collins, Mrs. Arthur Reineke, Mrs. John Bizjak, Mrs. Curtiss Mayenschein and children, Mrs. Bert Morrison and Mrs. Arthur Morrison.
