It has been decided to observed the Memorial Day again this year as in former years.  There will be a march to the cemetery in the morning and a program in the afternoon in the hall.  Committees have been appointed to look after the arrangements.  Mr. Hungerford has volunteered to give an address.  Several teachers of the neighboring schools have agreed to assist with their children.

Mr. Otto Plathner from Spencer visited with Mr. and Mrs. Degener over Sunday.

Potatoes are coming quite freely at present and will be bought as long as there is sufficient coming in to get car loads.

Al Snow shipped a carload of stock and calves Tuesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Verhagen are entertaining company.

Thode Harriman is busy cleaning up his farm.  He is marking quite an improvement and will derive the benefit thereof yet this year.

Fred Selk is going to raise his barn and will put a basement under same for his stock.

The little son of Mr. and Mrs. A. McInnis was operated on Saturday for removal of his tonsils and adenoids.  Dr. Houseley and Dr. Ross performed the operation.  The little fellow is getting along nicely.
