Humbird (31 October 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mayer and family were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Laufenburg in Alma Center.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stanley and his father, Henry Stanley, and Mrs. Emma Gerber, returned Friday from the Dr. Gaylord Stanley home in Beresford, S. D.   They report good pheasant hunting.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Giloy of Milwaukee were weekend guests of his brother, Clarence Giloy.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elvern Schicker of Wausau were guests Sunday of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Adler.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sliter of Merrillan were dinner and afternoon guests of Mrs. Lucy Gephart.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Barkley of Eau Claire brought her sister, Mrs. Laura Dignin, home Sunday evening and spent the evening with her.  Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin called there also.

 

Mrs. Robert Green, who has been a hospital patient for a week, is expected home this Monday.

 

Judy Boettcher and Kristy Simonson spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Emma Gerber.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Dignin, Charlene and Tommy, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dignin and children of Merrillan, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Sieg and Jill of Alma Center spent Friday evening at the Cullen Dignin home, helping him celebrate his 71st birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mayer and family and David Hitry spent Sunday at the William Hitry home in Halter.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin left early Monday for Gary, Ind., to visit their children and other relatives for a week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith and children of Deerfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie parks and children of Marshfield, were guests of their mother, Mrs. Edith Smith, Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Thompson, Jerry and Tim, and Linda Paulson of La Crosse, were visitors Sunday at the Walter Sheffer home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Staffon of Monroe were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.  Mr. and Mrs. Carl Greub of Neillsville spent Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Greub and their guests.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lightfoot were guests at the Levi Fitzmaurice home Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trachsel attended the Finch auction sale in Merrillan Sunday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Arnold Matti spent from Monday until Wednesday in Eau Claire.

 

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Siegerstrom and baby of Marathon were visitors Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hart.  Mr. and Mrs. Michael McKivitt and children also called there.
