Ure, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (40th - 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ure celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at their home Sunday with a dinner and supper served to several relatives.

 

Robert Ure was born in Lynn, April 29, 1893, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ure. Mrs. Ure was born in Lynn January 29, 1901, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sternitzky. The Ures have always lived on the home farm.

 

The Ures have five children: Mrs. Urban (Lila) Schmidt of Neillsville; Lloyd, on the home farm; Ronald, Town of Fremont; Muriel, at home; Mrs. Duane (Retta) Rollins of Chili; and 12 grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Raymond Sternitzky, wife of Mrs. Ure’s brother, baked the three-tiered wedding cake.

 

Among relatives present were: Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sternitzky, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jens, Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rollins and family, Mrs. Frieda Johnson, Mrs. Teryne Hammerly and Sandra, all of Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ure and family Town of Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ure and family, Mr. and Mrs. Les Sternitzky, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sternitzky, all of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lindow of Chili; Mrs. Ray Ure of Neillsville; and Muriel Ure.

 

Brothers of Mrs. Ure are; Joseph, Leo, Gilbert and Raymond Sternitzky; sisters are Mrs. Carl (Edna) Jens and Mrs. Frieda Johnson.  Ed Ure of Junction City is a brother of Robert Ure, Mrs. Ed (Marian) Lindow of Chili and Mrs. Wilbur (Gladys) Claire of Elroy are sisters of Robert Ure.
