Wargolet, Robert T. (26 April 1946 - 28 November 2011) With Flag

 

Robert T. Wargolet, age 65, of Bristol, WI, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011, at United Hospital System - St. Catherine’s Campus.

 

The son of the late Stanley Peter and Martha Sophie (Osowski) Wargolewicz, he was born on April 26, 1946, in Stanley, Chippewa County, WI.  He attended Pineland Country School, St. Hedwig’s School, and was a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School.

 

He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on September 11, 1964, and served from both the West Coast and East Coast until receiving his honorable discharge on September 10, 1968.

 

On November 9, 1968, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Thorp, he was united in marriage to Frances Ellen Bogumill.  Following their marriage until 2000, they lived in Milwaukee. They moved to Bristol in the summer of 2001 where they still resided.  For 30 years, Bob was employed at Milwaukee Gear Company retiring in July, 2001 as a foreman.

 

He was a previous member of St. Philip Neri parish in Milwaukee and a current member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bristol (formerly St. Scholastica).  He was an avid reader of Alfred Hitchcock short stories. Bob enjoyed the time he spent golfing and fishing with the grandkids.  He will be remembered for his kind heart, his quick wit, and his smart aleck nature.

 

He is survived by his wife, Fran; his four children: Brian, Katrina (Jim) Kyne, Karen (John) Cesar and Joseph Wargolet; and his seven grandchildren: Zachary, Benjamin and Ellie Cesar, Gracie Wargolet, and Tyler, Roan and Sophie Kyne.  He is further survived by his two sisters: Theresa (Lloyd) Vandoske and Estelle (Del) LeChevalier; his brother, Stanley Edward (Joanne) Wargolet; and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Mary Orvis, Dr. George (Bonnie) Bogumill, Dorothy Bogumill, Leo (LaVerne) Bogumill, Byron "Cy" (Barbara) Bogumill, Ruth (Jim) Somers, Michael Bogumill and Judy (Tom Wissman) Thaxton; his goddaughter and niece, Nicole Hawley, as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Thomas Wargolet; his mother and father-in-law, Edward and Clarissa Bogumill; brothers-in-law: Joseph and Edward Bogumill; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Bogumill.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 18700 116th St., Bristol (Hwy 45 South to County Hwy "V" West on V to 187th Ave.)  Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass.  Interment will follow in St. Scholastica Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home.  Memorial remembrances to Women and Children’s Horizons, 2525 63rd St. Kenosha, WI 53143 or the USO of Wisconsin, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr., Ste. #303, Milwaukee, WI 53202 would be appreciated.
