Young, Leonard, Sr. (1 October 1882 - 10 December 1963)

 

Leonard Young, Sr., 81, formerly of Humbird and Eau Claire, died December 10 in Fairchild. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Verlyn W. Nelson of the Assembly of God Church officiated and burial was made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery.

 

He was born October 1, 1882, in Humbird, where he attended school.  As a young man he worked at farming and lived in Minnesota and Eau Claire.  He entered a rest home March 31, 1961.

 

Mr. Young is survived by a son, Leonard Young, Jr., of Waterloo, Ia.; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Stevens of Humbird.

 

Pallbearers were Art McLeod, Ralph Mitchell, Wesley Washburn, Ed Kubaskie, Eugene Ranta and Ronnie Young.

 

People from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ranta of Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. F. Barr, Melvin Marham, Mrs. Steve Kubaskie, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Washburn and Edward Kubaskie, all of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. George Hutchens, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Young, Mr. and Mrs. Kent D. Young of Waterloo, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Art McLeod of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dusick of Chippewa Falls; and Ralph Mitchell of Black River Falls.
