Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Rosa Lautenbach, 84, of Rt. 2, Granton, who died in Neillsville Friday. Services were held from the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant.  The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

 

Mrs. Lautenbach, the former Rosa Riedel, was born December 25, 1878, in the Town of Grant.  Her parents were the late August and Charlotte (Crevcior) Riedel.  She attended Town of Grant schools and had lived her entire lifetime in the Town of Grant.

 

On May 9, 1897, she was married to Otto Lautenbach; who died in 1942.

 

Surviving are six children: Louie of Rt. 3, Neillsville; Victor of Rt. 2 Granton; Mrs. Helmuth (Ruth) Schultz of Rt. 1, Neillsville; Mrs. Fred (Laura) Wall of Neillsville; Mrs. Harry (Hilde) Kuehn and Hilton (Pat) Lautenbach of Rt. 2 Granton.  Other survivors are: a brother, Theodore Riedel of Granton; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Lautenbach was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lautenbach, 84, of Granton, were held December 23 (16th), from the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.  Mrs. Lautenbach died December 20 (13th, see first notice).

 

Pallbearers were six grandsons. They were: Lester, Russell, Roger, and Gerald Kuehn; Milton Erickson and Ellis Wall.  "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Stoughton.

 

People from away attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Milton W. Erickson of Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anderson of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. George Van Tatenhove of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ziegler of Stoughton; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stoughton of Mondovi; and many fiends and relatives from the Neillsville and Granton areas.
