Perry, Emma (13 October 1873 - 25 December 1963)

 

Emma Heike was born October 13, 1873, at Durand and died at the Willowdale Nursing Home at Crown Point, Ind., December 25, at the age of 90 years.

 

She spent her girlhood at Durand and on September 24, 1888, was united in marriage to Milton Perry. To this union 10 children were born.

 

Mr. Perry was a farmer and from 1915 to 1922 operated farms in the Humbird and Merrillan areas.  While in the Humbird area the family lived on what is known as the Babler farm.  After her husband’s death, Mrs. Perry made her home with some of the children until a few years ago, when she was taken to a Nursing home for care.

 

Funeral services were conducted December 28, in Marshfield. The Rev. Dafoe, pastor of First Methodist Church in Marshfield, officiated. Burial was made in Forest Hill Cemetery at Wisconsin Rapids beside her husband, who died August 10, 1940.

 

She is survived by her 10 children, 37 grandchildren, 134 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great-grandchildren.

St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hines and Gary, Crown Point, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Perry, Tim, Tam and Coleen, Richland Center; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nibbe, Mrs. Sharon Huff, Mrs. Elma Tracy and Ira Perry, Hobart, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dignin, Gary, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. John Perry, Elgin, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hines, Lockport, Ill.; Harold Perry, Chesterton, Ind.; Mrs. Matt Kubicek, Faribault, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Dignin and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Perry of Humbird.

 

After the services the group drove to the M. C. Dignin home in Humbird, where a hot supper awaited them.
