Awe, Louise #2 (21 AUG 1897 - 2 OCT 1961)

 

Complications following major surgery on the brain of Mrs. William Awe, 64, proved fatal to her when she passed away at her home in the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.) on Oct. 2nd, 1961.  Rev. Egbert officiated at the final rites held Friday, Oct. 6 at Immanuel United Church of Christ at Greenwood.  Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers included Alvin and Paul Kippenhan, George Burmeister, Clarence Syring, Elmer Meinhardt and Lester Hingiss.  Carrying floral offerings were Lola Meinhardt, Dorothy and Evelyn Kippenhan and Margaret and Sally Seeger.

 

Mrs. William Awe, nee Louise Voightlander, was born in the Town of Hoard on Aug. 21, 1897.  After her marriage to William Awe the couple purchased a farm in Green Grove Township where she has since resided.

 

Mourning her suffering and untimely death are two sons, Calvin and Arnold, both of rural route 1, Owen, a foster daughter, Mrs. Harry Meinhardt, two brothers, Elmer Voightlander, Medford, and Henry Voightlander of Abbotsford, and five grandchildren.

 

Her husband passed away in 1947.
