Willie Hoffman, son of Jake Hoffman met with a painful accident last week.  He was playing ball one day and as it is amongst boys, they commenced to scuffle.  While doing this Willie was thrown and his left shoulder was thrown out of join and fractured some.  The boy is doing quite well, but will have to carry his arm in a sling for some time.

Mrs. A. Vanderwyst had the misfortune last week to fall off a load of peas and dislocate her left elbow.  Dr. Housley also has care of this case.

Will Voigt and Albert Lindow are working again on the Lutheran Church after a layoff of a week.  Will has been under the weather.

Mr. Allen made a trip to Augusta Saturday afternoon.

Dr. Housley had to go to Honninger’s last week to see about one of the Honniger boys who was kicked in the stomach by a colt.  His early arrival saved the boy from an awful affliction.

Miss Engberg from Lake Milton visiting her uncle with her uncle and aunt and Mr. & Mrs. H. Koser.  Dr. Engberg is expected to be here also this week.

There was a game of ball played here between Chili and Fremont Sunday afternoon.  The score was 6 to 8 in favor of Chili.  It was a 7-inning game.

Louis Reichert is expected to return this week from his vacation.

Mr. O.F. Walter came to Chili on Monday and went from here by car to Marshfield to take in the fair.
