Mrs. Fred Kier and two children drove out and spent a day at Lynn last week at the Fred Handke home.

Paul Schoengarth is home from Montana since Friday in response to news of his sister, Mrs. Will Montgomery’s illness.

The W.F. Dahlke family entertained guests on Sunday.

Fred Kier lost a valuable gray horse last week.

Fred Kier and Wm. Dahlke made a business trip to Granton Monday.  Mr. Kier is looking for a horse to buy and Mrs. Dahlke a farm to rent.

The carpenters have begun work on Herman Gluch’s new house.

Mrs. E. Keuer spent Sunday with Mrs. Loeffler.

Mrs. Aug. Riedel of Lynn spent Tuesday with Mrs. F.D. Riedel.

School in District No. 4 begins next week.  The schoolhouse has been thoroughly repaired and repainted the last few days.  F.E. Riedel did the work.

Ernest Ayers and wife spent Monday and Tuesday picking blackberries with splendid success.

Oswald Pischer did chores for E. Ayers while the latter was blackberrying.

Aug. Riedel has a new corn binder.

Miss Emma Kelpin and Mr. M. Waterman returned to Fond du Lac Tuesday night after spending a few weeks at Wm. Kelpin’s.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Howard attended the fair at Marshfield last week Thursday.

Wm. Dahlke hauled cheese for the county farm factory Tuesday.

Mrs. Joe Brown and daughter Edna are home from their visit of several weeks at Barrington, Ill., since last Friday.

Miss Isabella Parks of Stevens Point, after a week’s visit at Joe Brown’s and with friends at Neillsville, returned home on Saturday.  Miss Alleda Brown accompanied her home for a several weeks visit.

Gus Reichert has rented the Gus Holz farm and takes possession Oct. 1^st.
