Linda Louis Harsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Harsh of Eau Claire, became the bride of Thomas Edward Devine, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Devine of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Tuesday, June 8th, 1962 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Eau Claire. The Rev. J.E. Lovejoy performed the small but lovely wedding ceremony at which only the immediate families attended.
Mrs. Ted Devine of Menomonie was matron of honor and Ted Devine, brother of the groom, was best man.
A large reception was held at the Elks Club for the couple in the afternoon, to which a large number of the State College of Eau Claire attended, as well as other guests and student friends and relatives.
The groom is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and this year graduated from the State College of Eau Claire. At present he is attending the summer session in Eau Claire and will then teach in Colorado.
The bride is a graduate of the Eau Claire Senior High School and is presently employed at the Northern States Power Co. in Eau Claire.
After a wedding trip through southern Wisconsin the couple will make their home on North Shore Drive in Eau Claire.
Pre-nuptial showers were given by Lori Benson, a linen showe, and a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. Richard Plomedhal.
