Griesbach, Allen H. (24 AUG 1948 - 30 JAN 2012)

Allen H. Griesbach, 63, Colby, died at 11:37 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient for the past week.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford. The Rev. Bruce Jahnke will officiate.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Feb. 11, from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Allen was born Aug. 24, 1948, at Racine, the son of Herman H. and Helen (Steffen) Griesbach. He attended Colby area elementary schools and Colby High School.

He was united in marriage in 1968 in Neillsville to Shirley A. Fischer and they were later divorced.

After his education, Allen farmed in the town of Colby for many years until his recent ill health. He enjoyed tractor pulls, garage sales and his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Griesbach of Colby; a son, Jeffrey Griesbach of Colby; four grandchildren, Tiara (Omar) Bonilla of Abbotsford, Cassius Griesbach of Colby, Colton and Autumn Werner of Whittlesey; and a great-grandchild, Talianna Bonilla of Abbotsford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Tina M. Werner, in 2010.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the family for a future designation.
