  Christman, Peter (17 June 1887 - 23 Mar. 1959)

Funeral services for Peter Christman, 71, were held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, March 26 at the Myre Funeral Home.  Services were conducted by the Rev. Norbert King and burial was in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.  The body reposed in state at the Myre Funeral Home from Wednesday morning till the time of the funeral.

Peter Christman was born in Hartford, Wis., June 17, 1887.  He came with his parents to Loyal at the age of five years, and lived in this area until about ten years ago when he moved to Spencer and has since resided there.  His death occurred at 10 a.m. Monday at Marathon County Hospital, Wausau.

His wife, the former Elizabeth Raab, died in 1929.  Two brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Caroline Trez of Seattle and Mrs. Don (Mary) Rudell of Wausau; five sons, Baltus of Tampa, Florida, Michael of Green Bay, Anthony of Caledonia, Minn., and Joe and Gilbert of Dubuque, Iowa; one brother Anthony of Loyal; and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Emerson of Wisconsin Rapids and Mrs. Anna Scott of Oregon.
