Anderson, Ruth I. (29 SEP 1962)

Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, was the setting for the Sept. 29th, 1962 wedding of Ruth Irene Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson, Withee, and Leo Ronald Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Larson, Spencer.

The 9:00 a.m. Nuptial High Mass was officiated by Rev. H.L. Crubel.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a white street length dress with a full skirt of sheer nylon jersey.  The nylon lace bodice had a high neckline, lower in back, with a draped midriff.  She had a white veiled hat with a bow in back. Her corsage was red roses with white feathered carnations.

Maid of honor was Mrs. Ann Sayah, sister of the groom.  She wore a light blue street length dress.  Her hat, similar to that of the bride’s, was light blue.  She had a corsage of red and white feathered carnations.

Serving as best man was Lars Larson, brother of the groom.  Both the groom and best man wore dark suits with boutonnieres of white carnations.

The mother of the bride wore a navy blue dress and had a corsage of red carnations.

The groom’s mother wore a rust colored dress with gold accessories.  Her corsage was similar to that of the bride’s mother.

A reception and dinner were held at the home of Mrs. Ann Sayah for the immediate families of the bride and groom.

Following a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the couple is now making their home in Withee.
