Fehring, Mary Ann (25 Apr. 1959)

A wedding of interest to Tribune readers was solemnized at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25 in Sacred Heart Church, Allenton with the Rev. Father Etzel officiating when Richard Schellinger, Allenton, and Miss Mary Ann Fehring, Hartford exchanged nuptial vows.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Schellinger, Loyal, route 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fehring, Hartford, route 3.  Music was by the church choir.

The bride wore a gown of rose point lace and tulle over satin.  The fitted bodice was fashioned with long sleeves and a jeweled Sabrina neckline.  A lace and tulle panel formed the front of the skirt with cascading ruffles of lace and tulle extending in the bustle train at the back.  The finger tip veil of silk illusion was attached to a contour crown of pearls and sequins.  She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white pompons.

The bride chose her sister, Miss Janice Fehring, for her maid of honor.  Her gown was hand clipped lace and net over taffeta in nile green styled with a bouffant floor length net ruffled skirt, topped by a pointed lace tunic front and back.  Over the fitted bodice was worn a lace jacket.  Her headdress was a clip hat of fancy braid and artificial daises Her flowers were white carnations and green pompons.

The three bridesmaids, Mrs. Calvin Castner, sister of the groom, Mrs. Don Stangl, also a sister of the groom and Mrs. Janice Wenninger wore gowns of yellow, orchid, and aqua, fashioned like the gown of the maid of honor.  Their flowers were white carnations and pompons matching the color of the dresses. 

The junior bridesmaid, Susan Shellinger, wore a floor length dress of nile green lace and net and a crown of fancy braid and pearls and carried flowers to match her gown.

Noreen Maicho, with gown, crown, and flowers exactly like the bride’s ensemble, was miniature bridesmaid.

The groom’s attendants were his brother Gary Schellinger, serving as best man and Earl Fehring, brother of the bride.  Bernard Shellinger, cousin of the groom and Howard Gundrum, as groomsmen.  Ushers were Florian Schellinger and Harold Gundrum.  The ring-bearer was Jerome Fehring, brother of the bride.

A reception, dinner and supper were served in St. Peter’s Church parlors at Slinger.

The bride is a graduate of the Sacred Heart School at Allenton and the groom is a graduate of Loyal High School.

The bride is employed at Amity Leather Products, West Bend, and the groom at Dari Kool, Hartford.  They will live in Allenton.

The bride’s mother wore a rose lace dress with blue accessories and the groom’s mother wore navy blue with accessories.

The newlyweds have returned to their home after a few days visit with his parents.
