A lovely wedding was solemnized on Saturday, Feb. 23, 1963 at 8:00 o’clock in the evening which united Miss Karen Wilksman of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. Darrell Albert of Withee.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wilksman, Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Albert, Withee.
Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiated at the candlelight service which was held at the first Congregational Church of Owen. Miss Jane Westendorf of Withee rendered lovely organ music.
Miss Wilksman appeared in church wearing a white brocaded satin street length dress and was given in marriage by her father. Her short veil consisted of a white satin bow made from a headpiece of a rose. Her bridal bouquet was an arranagement of red roses and white mums.
Miss Cody Cline of Amery was maid of honor and Mr. Ronald Albert of Richland Center served as best man for the wedding.
Miss Kline was attired in an emerald green taffeta street length dress with a headpiece similar in design to that of the bride. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses and white mums.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Albert are graduates of the Owen-Withee High School with the class of 1961 and both are attending Eau Claire State College at Eau Claire. They are now residing at 1517 Wilson Av., Eau Claire.
Prior to the wedding the bride was honored at a shower given in Eau Claire and following the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents.
