Poirier, Julia (19 August 1915 - March 1965)

 

Funeral services for Julia Reber Poirier, 49, of Ojai, Calif., were held last Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Myre Funeral Home in Loyal.  The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiated.  Burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Loyal.

 

Mrs. Julia (Reber) Poirier, the former Julia Klug, was born August 19, 1915, at Random Lake.  She moved to Loyal with her parents as a child.

 

On September 18, 1934, she was married to Walter Reber at Loyal. After two years they moved five miles east of Neillsville to the Pleasant Ridge Cheese Factory, which they operated.  In 1940, she and the children moved to Neillsville.  On her second marriage, in 1948 to Ezra Poirier, she resided on a farm south of Neillsville.  In 1960 they moved to Ojai, Calif.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Darol (Margaret) Lewis of Neillsville, Mrs. James (Carol) Chadwick of Greenwood, and Mrs. Curtis (Nancy) Gest of Milwaukee; and a son Richard Reber of Tomah; an adopted son, Darol Poirier; her husband, Ezra Poirier of Ojai, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and five brothers.

 

Pallbearers were: Ervin and Norbert Noeldner, Wilbur Kehrberg, Verland Dux, Wilbur Lindner and Delmar Capelle.

 

People from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Gest, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Klug and family, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Klug, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Klug, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Klug and family of Ringle; Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Klug and Norman of Cambria; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reber of Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis of Neillsville; Mrs. Carl Krause, Grace and Chester, of Iola; Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwick, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chadwick, and Mrs. Millard Chadwick, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henchen, Mrs. Maxine Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky, Mrs. Elmer Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson, and Mrs. Clifford Roehl, all of Neillsville; Graham Poirier of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bowman of Hatfield; and many from the Loyal area.
