Greenwood (15 April 1965)

 

The Forest Queen Royal Neighbor Camp met Monday evening in the Legion Hall, with Mrs. Lawrence Cox presiding.  Following the business session games were played and prizes wee awarded to Mrs. Frances Hinker, Miss Louise Keiner and Mrs. Adelbert Wells.  A lunch was served by Mrs. Leonard Johnson, Mrs. Alma Mason and Mrs. Clarissa Steele. The next meeting will be held May 3.  Hostesses will be Mrs. Christ Keiner, Mrs. Hugh Severson and Miss Louise Keiner.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carl and family visited in Darlington over the weekend at the home of her mother, Mrs. Frank Reichling, and with other relatives.

 

Mrs. Alfred Schwarze was admitted last week Sunday to a hospital in Marshfield and underwent surgery there Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Humke and daughters, Christie and Shelley, of Rochester, Minn., were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart. They were accompanied by his father, Theodore Humke of Neillsville, who spent Saturday at the Stewart home and at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Timmler.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Metzke and family spent Sunday in Medford and visited at the home of Mrs. Arthur Albrecht in Abbotsford. They were accompanied by their daughter, Joan Metzke, and Alice Oestreich of Loyal, who returned to Medford, where they attend the Taylor County Teachers College.

 

Dale Brux, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux, and Roger Schwarze, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze, who attend the Wausau Technical Institute, have been spending a week’s spring vacation here.

 

The first birthday of Sharon Zepaltas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zepaltas, Jr., was celebrated at the Zepaltas home recently. Guests were the paternal grandmother, Mrs. John Zepaltas, Sr., and children and Mr. and Mrs. John Jasurda and daughter, Rita, and Sharon’s sister, Debra.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Adams and daughters, Carol, Janice and Diane, attended the wedding anniversary celebration of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Adams, held recently at their home in Neillsville.
