Sternitzky, Louis (6 August 1888 - 21 June 1965)

 

A memorial service is being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock in Zion Lutheran Church for Louis Sternitzky, 76, of Rt. 1, Granton, who died Monday. The Rev. E. T. Keller of Pittsville will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

 

Mr. Sternitzky, a lifelong resident of the Granton area, was born August 6, 1888, in Granton.  He attended the Granton schools.

 

On August 8, 1911, he was married to Martha Burdick. They farmed east of Lynn, retiring from active work in 1960.


He is survived by his wife; five sons, Melvin of Detroit, Mich., George, Clarence and David of the Granton area, and Theron of Spokane, Wash.; and by a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Clara) Lewis of Chili.  Other survivors are 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and by three brothers, Oscar, Sr., of Marshfield, Carl of Neillsville and Rudolph of Granton.

 

Pallbearers will be: Oscar, Duane, Delmar and Warren Sternitzky, Earl Chubb, and George Burdick, Jr.
