Schoen, Wilhelmine "Minnie" (12 November 1882 - 20 June 1965)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry B Schoen, 82, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, were held Wednesday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mrs. Wilhelmine Schoen, who died Sunday, was born November 12, 1882, in Germany, and came with her parents at the age of three years to Canada. The family later moved to Minnesota.  On December 26, 1900, she was married to Henry B. Schoen in Owatonna, Minn., where they operated a carriage shop for several years.  Mr. and Mrs. Schoen moved to Clark County in 1905.  They were engaged in farming in this area for 40 years.

 

Surviving are her husband, and the following children: Mrs. Louis (Kathryn) Koran of Marshfield; Henry A. Schoen of Rt. 2, Neillsville; John Schoen, Rt. 3 Neillsville; Mrs. Frank (Betty) Gutman of Rt. 3 Neillsville; Mrs. Otto (Loula) Hainz of Rt. 3 Neillsville; Franklin Schoen and Mrs. William (Eleanore) Neville, both of Rt. 1 Neillsville; and Edward Schoen of Rt. 2 Neillsville.  Other survivors are 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Luella Hart of Hayfield, Minn.

 

The Parish Council of Catholic Women held a rosary service Tuesday afternoon at the Georgas Funeral Home.  A general service was held Tuesday evening.

 

Mrs. Schoen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its St. Mary’s and St. Helena’s circles.
