Friends and relatives of the Steve Pawlak family were shocked and saddened Friday when they learned of the sudden death of Mrs. Steve Pawlak that occurred at her home in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) when she was stricken with a heart attack.

Funeral services were conducted from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, with Father H.L. Crubel officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Benny Pawlak, Leon Pawlak, Richard Cieslik, Richard Malecki, Raymond Venet and Malen Konieczny.

Born July 1, 1905 at Thorp, Mrs. Pawlak, nee Helen Rzetelny, attended schools at Thorp and lived in that community until 1922.  On June 5 of that year she was united in marriage to Steve Pawlak at Thorp.  The couple then moved to the Town of Longwood where they have farmed southwest of Withee since that time.

She was an active member of the Ladies Altar Society of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.

Her passing is mourned by her husband; four sons, Leonard Pawlak, Hialeah, Fla., Calvin Pawlak and Steve Pawlak Jr., Withee, and Eugene Pawlak, Cudahy; one daughter, Mrs. Angeline Jaeckels, Cudahy, Wis.; four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Cieslik, Withee, Mrs. Josephine Konieczny, Stanley, Mrs. Mary Spychella, Milwaukee, Mrs. Frances Malecki, Thorp; one brother, Martin Rzetelny, Thorp; and seven grandchildren.
