Andersen, Thyra (1875 - 21? OCT 1963)

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee for Mrs. Thyra Andersen, 88, Sturgis, S.D., a former Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) resident.  The Rev. Byrl Knudsen will officiate and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jens, Armond, Harold, Bertel, Clarence and Vernon Miller.

The former Thyra Lorentzen was born in 1875 in Withee and her marriage to Ole Andersen, who preceded her in death four years ago, took place about 60 years ago.  After their marriage the couple lived at Neillsville, Chippewa Falls and Withee.  At one time, Mr. Andersen was treasurer and clerk of Clark County.  Mrs. Andersen had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Hagelstein at Sturgis, S.D. for the past year.

She is survived by a son, Frederick Andersen, Fargo, N.D.; four daughters, Mrs. Berry (Agnes) Mahoney, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. John (Emily) Boyer, Palo Alto, Calif.; Mrs. Spencer (Elenore) Van Wingle, San Pedro, Calif. and Mrs. Hagelstein, Sturgis, S.D., and 15 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
